Testimonials
I
have come to consider Defender Publishing
Group as a friend. They have always
"shot from the hip" with me. Since
they agreed to publish my book, Apocalypse
Soon, they have worked very hard to help me
promote the book and get it distributed and
out onto shelves. Unlike other publishers
whom I have worked with, Defender always
responds to my queries and is available to
help and overcome any obstacles we may
encounter on this publishing journey. I
would have no hesitation in recommending CEO
Tom Horn and Defender Publishing to any
prospective client. They will give you their
best shot every time.

Heron, best selling author of Apocalypse
Soon and Pyramid of the Apocalypse
Having
been in author/publisher relationships over
the past 2 decades - with a number of
publishing houses - I can say honestly that
Defender has been among the most enjoyable
with which to work.
Tom
Horn and his associates deliver what they
promise, and promise the author no more than
is possible in publication of the author’s
work. In my view, this is a very important
point of integrity. That is something I find
with these people - a top sense of
integrity.
These
professionals treat the author with
one-on-one attentive friendliness unmatched
by other publishers, large and small, with
whom I’ve been associated as a writer.
The
publisher’s creative promotion, publicity,
and marketing acumen match the very best of
even the top New York publishing houses -
such as the Penguin group - with which
I’ve been involved. I recommend them
highly.

Terry James, best selling author, “The
Nephilim Imperatives”
As
a first time author, the task of finding the
right publisher for my novel left me feeling
excited, frustrated, nervous, frightened,
anxious, etc. The more I researched, the
more hopeless things seemed. With all
of the horror stories I had heard about
publishers, I was worried that I, too, would
fall into a trap that would cost me
thousands of dollars.
After much
prayer and research, I pushed my fears aside
and entered into an agreement with Defender
(formerly Anomalos Publishing) to publish my
novel, Logic’s End. I felt like a young
father who just sent his child off to
kindergarten for the first time. What would
become of my work? Would they take care of
this document that I had labored and sweat
over for so long? Would they really
honor the promises they make on their
website? Or would they just take my money
and produce a mediocre product that no one
would take seriously?
I can now
say, with all confidence, that my trust was
well placed. The staff at Defender have been
true to their word and have not only met my
expectations, but have exceeded them. You
can tell simply by looking at the cover art
on my book that they take pride in what they
do. This is not some “fly-by-night”
second rate business that is run out of
someone’s garage. The staff at Defender
walked me through the entire process and
answered my endless questions promptly and
with grace. They were also very interested
in my opinion and worked WITH me instead of
just ignoring my input.
There is
always some risk when seeking to break into
the publishing business. But as someone who
has been there, I can tell you that the
staff at Defender will do everything they
can to minimize that risk. They are genuine
people who truly believe in what they do,
and they can help you make your manuscript
into a reality.
