Has dedicated his life to teaching others how to defend the Christian faith. He is a public speaker and author of apologetics fiction—a new genre that incorporates apologetics into the plots of sci-fi, action/adventure novels.

He is currently the Acquisitions Editor for Defender publishing with a passion about countering secular culture in the church. He is a professional violist and musician with a love of the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking and spending time with his wife kayaking, hiking, and chasing chickens!

OUR FOUNDERS
DR. THOMAS R. HORN
Dr. Thomas Horn was a prolific author, respected television and radio personality, and visionary publisher whose work profoundly shaped the landscape of modern Christian media. Until his passing in October 2023, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of SkyWatchTV, an innovative platform that combined investigative journalism with biblical commentary on prophecy, the supernatural, and current events.
A pioneer at the dawn of the internet age, Dr. Horn launched two influential news services that rapidly gained traction for their bold reporting on religion, prophecy, hidden discoveries, and spiritual warfare. His cutting-edge investigations and network of contributing writers drew widespread attention, leading to features and interviews with major outlets including:

Nita Horn currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Whispering Ponies Ranch (WPR)—a Christ-centered therapeutic retreat that utilizes miniature equine-assisted activities and petting zoo animals to provide mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. WPR primarily ministers to children who have endured trauma and abuse, offering them a safe and restorative environment.
She is a regular panelist on the nationally broadcast ministry SkyWatch TV and co-host of Simply His, a weekly television and radio blog show offering a woman’s perspective on theology, culture, and current events—especially as they relate to faith and the family.
Nita has co-authored several books with her late husband, Dr. Tom Horn, including Forbidden Gates and their final work together, We Are Legion: For We Are Many, released in Fall 2023.
Earlier in her ministry journey, Nita served as the Oregon State Director of Missionettes, a mentoring program dedicated to reaching girls for Christ through love, discipleship, and biblical truth. She also spent decades in pastoral ministry alongside her husband, gaining deep, practical insight into the challenges and beauty of Christian leadership and family life.
Nita is the proud mother of three adult children and a devoted grandmother to eight. Her powerful personal testimony and unwavering faith are beautifully captured in her memoir, No Fences: It Started with a Plastic Pony.
